Overview
The V6 lower bracket forms the bottom end of a 6-inch submersible motor. It screws into the motor body on its large external thread, seals against the body with machined shoulders, and carries the lower bearing in its extended boss. Together with the upper bracket, it keeps the rotor centred in the stator.
Thread quality matters on this part. A clean, full thread and a square shoulder help the bracket seat properly and hold its seal, which is why we machine the thread, shoulders and bore on CNC equipment.
The lower bracket also takes the weight and end-loads at the bottom of the motor, so a sound bearing seat is important. We machine the bore and the thread on CNC equipment to keep the fit consistent from one order to the next.
