Overview
The CI bowl is a cast iron stage casing for borewell submersible pumps. Like any pump bowl, it surrounds the impeller and turns the fast-moving water leaving the impeller into pressure before passing it to the next stage. Cast iron is a common, cost-effective choice for bowls in many pump designs.
We machine the bowl rims, spigots and bores so stages stack concentrically and the impeller runs with an even clearance. The bowls are supplied along with matching impellers where required.
For pump makers who offer more than one material option, we can supply cast iron bowls alongside our stainless steel pump parts, so that different pump ranges can be built from a common set of designs and dimensions.
